To create or log into your Elsevier account:
1. Click on "Sign In" or "Create an Account" at the top right of your screen
2. Enter your email address
3. Click on “Continue” and follow the instructions
How can I change my email or personal information?
To change/update your email and personal information:
1. Go to our login page https://id.elsevier.com
2. Enter your email address
3. Click on “Continue”
4. Enter your password
5. Click on “Sign in”
6. Click on the pencil icon in the relevant field and change your data
How do I reset a forgotten password?
To reset your password:
1. Click on "Sign In" or "Create an Account" at the top right of your screen
2. Enter your email address
3. Click on “Continue”
4. Click on "Forgot your password?"
5. Click on "Send me a link" and follow the instructions

Pricing Policy
Books
- Book prices are quoted in either British Pounds, Euro or US Dollars depending on your location and are subject to change without notice.
- All book orders will be billed for delivery and VAT if applicable.
- Please note that pre-order prices are subject to change. If you have pre-ordered an item we will honour the original price on your order if it is cheaper.
Journals
- Journals prices are quoted in either British Pounds, Euro or US Dollars depending on the product type and are subject to change without notice.
- Journals will not be billed for delivery but will be billed for VAT if applicable.
- Journals are charged in advance of delivery
Payment Policy
- We accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express credit cards and Solo and Visa debit cards.
- Your credit or debit card will be charged once the product or electronic access code that was ordered is available for dispatch.
- If some items are not available in an order we will split the order. Items will be charged and dispatched immediately as they become available.
Delivery and Shipping Information
For Books
Goods will be dispatched when payment has been received. Delivery will then be made via DHL and will require a signature upon delivery. Delivery times stated on our website are estimated for guidance only and we are unable to state a specific day or time when delivery will be made.
Please note that we are unable to fulfill any UK orders that require delivery to a P.O. Box address.
If you are outside of the UK and require a delivery to a PO Box address please provide a telephone number to avoid your order being declined or delayed.
For Journals
The completion of the delivery process for journal issues can take up to 4 weeks. Although Elsevier endeavours to deliver the journals well within this 4 week window, the use of local postal services can often influence delivery times and this should be taken into account before making claims.
For e-Books
After placing your e-Book order, we will email the e-Book activation code to you immediately.
PLEASE NOTE: For eBook purchases no print invoice will be provided. The digital version will be sent to the email address provided by the customer on which we had confirmed the order.
Delays in Shipping
Delays in shipping can be due to titles that are not yet available at the time of ordering and have been backordered due to the reasons listed below. In this situation your credit card will not be charged until the title is available for dispatch.
- Pre-orders/Not yet published - these titles have not been published and will be dispatched as soon as available. Please check our website for the due date.
- “Only to Order” titles are usually imported in from the USA if they aren’t in stock. Therefore delivery could take up to 6-8 weeks.
- “Print on Demand” titles may take 7-10 working days before becoming available for delivery.
Returns Policy
For Books
You may return print books within 30 days from the invoice date for a full refund. These items must be in saleable condition. You will be responsible for and will pay the cost of returning the items to us by the same method as it was delivered. The items will be returned at your risk.
For Journals
For all enquiries regarding cancelling a journal subscription please contact customer services.
For e-Books
Ebooks cannot be refunded.
