mission of the
TCMJ is to provide practical, timely, and relevant clinical and basic science information to physicians and researchers
practicing in Taiwan and worldwide. Scientific papers of original research on clinical medicine and basic science, case reports, clinical

TCMJ was launched in 1988 and has maintained its timely publication for the past 23 years. Although TCMJ is a regional
journal, the submission is not limited to Taiwan. We have received submission from not only from the Asia-pacific region but also some
other countries worldwide. The editorial board covers experts of all major medical fields from Taiwan and other countries.
All papers
considered for publication in TCMJ are reviewed by one associate editor and two to three reviewers. With strict review policy,
only 60% of high quality articles can be accepted for publishing in TCMJ. We have previously published several important articles
related to the specific disease patterns in Asian Pacific region such as tuberculosis, gout, and aboriginal alcoholism related diseases.
These articles are worthy to be refereed. We have also expanded the scope of TCMJ to cover vegetarian, medical education, medical
ethics, medical legal, clinical practice and therapeutics, image in clinical medicine and medical economic commentaries. TCMJ is
an useful resource for clinicians, researchers, as well as the medical professionals.
